In “Real Estate” it is often said LOCATION, LOCATION and LOCATION is everything but we know that when you are buying a house it is really PRICE, PRICE and PRICE. What if we can show you a place that gives you the best of both in the PALM SPRINGS / DESERT HOT SPRINGS AREA?
The Tale of Two Cities – Desert Hot Springs & Palm Springs
The history of these two cities have been entwined for the past century. The cities border to the north and south of each other, sharing the same clear star lit nights, underground aquifers that support natural hot springs, enjoy the same mild desert winters that helped populate the area and have welcomed LGBT populations.
Palm Springs has emerged into its national preeminence, that it enjoys today, because the Southern Pacific Railroad was given Federal Land that it used for railroad passage and sold the remaining land to Wealthy San Francisco Developers who had a vision to see a vacationing and medicinal demand for this area. Hollywood personalities and World War 2 (desert area was a training ground for North African campaign) also played an important role in the development of the area. While Palm Springs became the center of attraction, most of Desert Hot Springs remained in its natural state and desert splendor. Desert Hot Springs does have one feature that sets it aside from Palm Springs and the rest of the Coachella Valley. It is designated as a ENERGY VORTEX.
Although there is close proximity of both cities to the Down Town Palm Springs area, the housing market is quite different for the median price home buyer.
